This is also where you install additional voicebanks and plugins. UTAU’s default install place is C:/Program Files (86)/UTAU.Although your computer can still run UTAU and read Japanese file names in “English mode”, UTAU runs smoother and crashes less in “Japanese mode”. Make sure “Japanese mode” (the “Japanese / Microsoft IME” setting on your taskbar) is on.Don’t launch UTAU yet, there are still a few things to make sure of. It will install everything in the default places and make a desktop icon. ![]() ![]() Despite it being a Japanese installer, the program will be in English. Run the installer and follow the instructions.
